We’ve completed our fourth episode of WAWED!
In this episode, we tried out “Riding the Hype Train”, a new segment where one of us reacts to recent stories hyping up AI in education. We try to temper the hype from the perspective of teachers who have to deal with the practical realities of implementing AI in the classroom, and from the perspective of researchers and curriculum developers who are trying to understand how AI can be used effectively in education. The promises of AI are often overblown, and we want to provide a more balanced view of what AI can and cannot do in the classroom.
